I had a busy day. It started in the morning with tearing apart a large heap of Kochen und Küche, old Austrian cooking/baking magazines. I took out the recipes I've already tried and liked and a bunch of those I might want to try later and the rest will go to the paper collecting container tomorrow.

It cost me the entire morning, but it was worth the effort. There are lots of interesting, yummy-looking recipes for the weight conscious that I'd like to try after retirement. Mum always complains that she has no ideas what to cook and indeed, we don't make many different things. I'd like to experiment a little when I'll finally have the time; also, not putting on even more weight when I won't have to go to work every day would be a good thing.

I also made some tentative headway with the rewriting of the latest Dwobbit chapter. Having discovered a lot of exciting stuff in John D. Rateliff's The History of the Hobbit, I'm currently trying to incorporate it in my story without actually copying it - not an easy task, but I think it'll be worth the effort.

After that, I made attempts to watch re-runs of Zuhause im Glück but fell asleep after half an hour and slept through the whole thing like a log. Fortunately, it was an episode I've already seen three times, so it wasn't such a loss, but still... Ah, well, I'm on holiday, after all, right?
