In which we had guests
Aug. 7th, 2018 06:28 pmOne of Mum's former colleagues visited us today, together with her husband. I like her well enough, she's but a few years older than I am; her hubby is a bit nerve-wrecking, but he means well. My raspberry cheesecake was a great success with everyone, so I'm content.
I had to go out in the morning because I forgot to buy the TV programme for the current month back in Sunday when we were at the supermarket. That ate half the morning, but at least I got to take a quick look at several other shops around there, which I couldn't have done at my pace had Mum been with me.
Coming home, I finally made myself sort out some pre-punched shabby chic papers I've been planning to do for the last two years or so. And I slept about an hour before the guests came. So the day wasn't entirely wasted, after all.
So, where is everyone? Has this infernal heat flattened you all, ladies?
