wiseheart: (radek_working)
Gakked from the wondrous [livejournal.com profile] lindahoyland who always brings me the funniest things.
BTW, Linda, your Easter egg has been mailed today, I hope it won't arrive too late.

1. What was the first fanfic you ever wrote?
Actually, I started out with original fic at about the age of 11. The first finished piece filled 3 slim school exercise books (the lined kind) and was about Dakota Sioux Indians at the time of Sitting Bull, featuring his (real-life) nephew, One Bull... in a terribly idealized version.

2. Is there anything you regret writing?
Some of my early Boromir stories. Which is why I don't put them up on AO3.

3. Name a fic you’ve written that you’re especially fond of & explain why you like it.
"With the Weapons of a Woman" and "Brothers-in-Arms". Both are very underestimated pieces, but I love both the topic and the way they turned out.

4. What fic do you desperately need to rewrite or edit?
All my early Boromir stories. I'm just not sure 4/5 of them would be worth the effort.

5. What’s your most popular fanfic?
That position shifts around among my Torchwood AU stories. Have I mentioned already that Torchwood fans are the most loyal and grateful bunch?

6. How do you come up with your fanfic titles?
Usually they just come to me - save the current Torchwood/Primeval crossover, which already has 8 chapters but no title so far.

7. What do you hate more: Coming up with titles or writing summaries?
As a rule, I don't find either of them particularly hard. Save for the fic mentioned above, where the title proves to be very un-cooperative and the summary is crap.

8. If someone were to draw a piece of fanart for your story, which story would it be and what would the picture be of?
[livejournal.com profile] archet made some beautiful photomanips for my Birthright and Lost Years series.

9. Do you have a beta reader?
Occasionally.

10. What inspires you to write?
Canon inconsistencies. Or simple love for the fandom and the characters.

11. What’s the nicest thing someone has ever said about your writing?
I got some very lovely comments from aforementioned Torchwood fans, but I can't directly quote anything off the top of my head.

12. Do you listen to music when you write or does music inspire you? If so, which band or genre of music does it for you?
Rarely. I get enough noise at work already, so I prefer silence. Or something quiet and soothing.
