More home-made Christmas candies
Oct. 25th, 2016 11:49 pmThis one is called "Dolcevita", for reasons unknown - unless because it is really sweet. A little too much for my personal taste, but my colleagues loved it. It's made of ground walnuts, milk powder, sugar syrup, chopped raisins and orange aroma. I gave it a lemon icing to balance out the sweetness, hence the marbled surface:

And this is what they look like gift-wrapped:

And then I made Coconut candy, from ground biscuits, ground coconut flakes, coconut liquor, icing sugar and a bit of butter. They turned out quite nice, too. This is the naked version:

No pic of the gift-wrapped version yet because my iPad decided to act up on me and refuses to connect to the internet, so I took it to Friendly Neighbour Guy in the hope that he'll teach the thing better manners. I'll add the pic as soon as I can.
