And since I'm about to recast half the Ardaverse crowd, what about this Thranduil?

I think I would prefer this one to the genderless clown wearing his wife's dressing gown in PJ's "Hobbit" films. Even though he, too, happens to wear nothing but a bedsheet. What is it with these Elves wearing undignified clothing?

Happy Birthday, [livejournal.com profile] artemis10002000!

Ich wünschte Du wãrst here. Ich kõnnte Dich mit frisch gebackenen Schinkenkipferln füttern, und wir haben noch Sekt vom Silvesterabend...

Okay, recipe as per request:

ingredients for the pastry:
400 gr white flour
200 gr margarine
1 egg yolk
a pich of salt
20 gr yeast, stirred in warm milk, with a pinch of sugar
1 tablespoon crème freche

Ingredients for the filling:
250 gr cubed bacon
50 gr grated cheese
2 tablespoons crème freche
some white pepper

egg white and sesame seed for decoration

After preparing the pastry, make two halves of it and let it rest in a warm place for 20 minutes.
Roll out the pastry round and divide both in 8 sections.
Put the filling on the wide end, roll up the sections tightly, paint them with egg white and decorate them with sesame seed.
Bake them in a pre-heated oven (200*C) for 15-20 minutes.

And that is basically it.
