Dec. 30th, 2014

I find it amazing how quickly 2014 went by. It brought a lot of different things, mostly good ones and just minor annoyances, thank God, no matter how much I used to whine here. ;)
I might even finish "Arthur's Quest - Book One" tomorrow... one piece of burden less that I'll drag over into the next year.

I already bought the little sausages we Hungarians traditionally eat at midnight. I'll wrap them into ready-made puffy dough and bake them in the oven. A bit unusual, for sure, but it means we'll have enough left for lunch on January 1. Granny always said you must not eat chicken on New Year's Day because it scratches away your luck. You must eat pork, because pigs dig out your luck with their trunks. Sausages are made of pork meat, so I hope it will work... not that I really believe in such things, but they are fun.

I baked my easy cheesy buns tonight, with 4 different seeds in the dough: sesame, linseed, sunflower and pumpkin. They turned out great. Tomorrow, I'll make an apple-cheesecake of the size of a truck wheel, we have cidre and champagne, so we are well armed for New Year's Eve. TV programme will be utter crap as always, so I'll probably go online and read most of the time.
