Christmas Baking 2013 - Hazelnut Wheels
Dec. 1st, 2013 05:05 pmAgain, these are almost ridiculously easy to make and very crumbly and tasty.
Ingredients:
125 grams of grated roasted hazelnuts
250 grams of white flour
100 grams of thickening agent
1 teaspoons of baking powder
250 grams of margarine
100 grams of icing sugar (I always use normal sugar)
1 eggyolk
1 pck vanilla-flavoured sugar
For the decoration:
1 eggwhite
4 tablespoons of sugar
1 tablespoon of dark cocoa powder
How to make it:
* Pre-heat oven to 175°C
* Lay a sheet of baking paper into the bakingtin
* Mix all ingredients thoroughly until you have a nice, smooth dough.
* Form 2 rolls of the dough (diameter: ~3cm), paint them with eggwhite and roll them in a mixture of sugar and cocoa powder.
* Let the rolls rest in the fridge for 1/2 hour.
* Cut 1/2 cm thick slices from the rolls, lay them onto the baking tin, and paint them with eggwhite.
* Back them for about 15 minutes, depending on your oven.
