On the topic of Christmas cards again
Oct. 27th, 2012 07:10 pmI've finished 12 (!) for those on my flist who requested one (and for some who didn't but will get one anyway). They're sitting in their respective envelopes now; all I have to do is to write the actual messages. I'm planning to send them on their way mid-November, so that they can avoid the Christmas insanity at the postal services.
Today, we sat with two colleagues and half a dozen 5th and 6th-term girls in one of the rooms at school (those are kids who can't go home after lessons because their parents are working) and made quite a few such cards. We're going to sell them at the school's charity fair, as I've already said, but it seems that I'll have a few spares. So, if you've changed your mind and decided that you'd want one, after all, please PM me your snail mail adress and I'll see what I can do. I can't guarantee mass delivery, due to postal prices, but a few more wouldn't make too much of a dent in my economy. :)
Should you, for whatever reason, not be on my actual friendslist but we've been in contact for some time, you can still ask. ;)
Also, I had the delight to finish my first self-made figurine of various sorts of paper. DIY shops now sell small packages with the parts you need for these little angels and other stuff and attach the instructions how to make them. My angel standing in a plaited wreath turned out very pretty.
