wiseheart: (that-czech-guy)
Well, school started again today - at least for us, teachers. The kids won't come in until September 1, the lucky little buggers. We'll be doing paperwork, ordering the classrooms and fighting over lessons that we don't get and the other one does until then. Joy.

We're all supposed to have 22 lessons a week. According to my curriculum, I've got 21 on one week and 19 on the other one - unless I'm completely stupid and cannot count (well, I can't but that's another problem). We work in a two-week-schedule. I've already gone to the deputy headmistress twice about this, but she said both times that I will have my obligatory lessons. I don't see how (unless it's a counting problem), so I'll go and bother her again tomorrow. *sigh*

I don't mind working shorter hours, but if that comes with a paycut in the short run and losing my job in the long run that's disturbing. I hope it's just me being stupid, but we can never know.

At least the mini-packages of instant tea (apple/cinnamon and caramel/chili) or coffee that I brought my colleagues from the Spice Museum in Hamburg turned out an absolute hit. They were all very happy with the stuff, so the new term started in a good mood.
