Until yesterday, whenever I wanted to type in a keyword into the search field of the main Google page, my laptop automatically offered me all the keywords previously typed in by myself that begin with the same letter. It was really a time-saver.

Now, Google has obviously "improved", because when I try to type in a keyword, it offers me about ten other keywords beginning with the same letter - not my own previous ones, mind you, but the ones that were used most by *other* Google users, including helpful little numbers how many times that particular keyword has already been used.

Needless to say, neither of those are keywords I'd have need for in my life, even if I lived a thousand years. So, Google has efficiently slowed down my research work by fifty per cent. Thanks, idiots! At least they havent added this "improvement" to the image search... yet!

I'm seriously pissed. Anybody has an idea if this new function could be switched off and how?
