Reports from the sickbed *g*
Feb. 7th, 2007 09:49 pmTime is flying when you're having fun... Three days from my sick leave are gone, and if I keep getting better, next week I can go to work again. Oh, joy!
Anyway, at least I've used my time well enough so far. I got to read a lot (mostly my old favourites saved to my HD, but also the retelling of the Mabinogion and some Brother Cadfael), I got to write a little (Atlantis fanfic, which is now freshly posted to
otherworlds_lib), I got to type up a lot of things that are already written (mostly trekfic, which is posted to the same place) and I got to sleep in till 9 a.m. or later.
I'm still coughing like an asthmatic dog, and the nights are not very pleasant as a result of this, but all in all, I enjoy this unexpected piece of freedom very much. The quiet. The freedom to do whatever I want - which is not much different from what I'm doing anyway, but the chance to choose to do so is a gift in itself.
Of course, I'd need months to catch up with my ungodly backlog of writing and reading. But I'm thankful for what I've got. Even if it's paired up with howling at the moon half the night. *g*
