Apologies for the absence - I'm busy posting my sci-fi stories to [livejournal.com profile] otherworlds_lib, and the hand coding and cross-linking takes forever.

So far, I've posted "Mission to Daleth IV", "Crossroads", "Birthright 1" and "Darkroom 1" in their entirety as well as the two short Zelenka pieces. I'm about to post "Still Not in Kansas", my Babylon5/ST-Voyager crossover. I wish I knew how to post pictures to LJ entries - [livejournal.com profile] archet has made some gorgeous cover art to some of the stories. Well, I linked to my own website, so that people could see it, but it'd be so much better to have them on the index pages. *le sigh*

It's still frigging hot here, which kills the creativity. My McKay-entry to "Darkroom 2" is making headway with the speed of a disabled snail. Too bad, I'd love to put up that arc entirely. [livejournal.com profile] larian would probably enjoy the Lorne Pr0n... *g*

I've got several writing projects that need to be worked on - among other things "A Brotherly Gift", my own adition to Edhellond's anniversary challenge, but the synapses refuse to fire in this heat. And summer holidays are racing away, I have less than five weeks left before the frigging school starts again.

I'm definitely getting too old.

Gnosticism

There was a program on the German-speaking channel 3sat - I think it's actually an Austrian or Swiss one, I'm not sure, but it usually brings documentaries and cultural stuff - about the scripts found in Nag Hammadi, Egypt. Alas, I missed almost the whole thing, all I saw was a short info about the Gospel of Thomas. Next Thursday they'll show the second part of it, I hope I won't forget.

Personally, I know too little about the Gnosis to make a judgement. It was a certain teaching of wisdom and how to reach the Divine in us through it, if I understand it correctly. Both the Jewish and the Christian officials had a problem with it, and it practically vanished from human teaching as philosophies, save from a few interested individuals. I'd like to learn more, though, some day. Not now, though - I've got my hands full at the moment.
