Vanishing act?

Apologies if I vanish from cyberspace for a while. My computer behaves like crazy, maybe the heating is about to break down. So, forgive me if I might be a little unresponsive. I'll try to pop in from school, but that's not always easy, besides, it's a weekend coming up.

Note: I've set all my groups to No Email, until I can be sure that the PC is OK, so that they won't overflood my respective mailboxes. School computers won't allow Hotmail access, and my Outlook Express only works from my own PC, so I'll have to correspond with people via Yahoo Groups or on the Otherworlds board, since I can access those from school, in case the frigging fan really breaks down.

Elrond essay

It's an old one, written back in 2003, when Innocence was still in its early stages. The original title was Elrond's Lost Loves, and Jasta, it contains a short explanation of why I chose to go with the Elrond/Legolas cliché. (Which I have regretted afterwards, but that's another question entirely.)

Please post all comments you want to make there. I don't want to turn off the LJ comments that get emailed to me as well, and I don't know how much my inbox is willing to handle right now, in case I won't be able to use my PC in the near future.
