Okay, everyone, should I suddenly disappear for a time, it'd be due to computer problems again. My frigging PC picked up the bad habit to start growling like a bad Russian hoover from the ealry 1950's every time I switch it on. Up to yesterday, switching it off, waiting 30 seconds and switching it on again helped. Currently, I'm up to repeating the same process 4 times until things get straight. I'm afraid it's a Bad Thing(TM).
But the silver lining is: my colleague who teaches computer science promised to come over in the not so far future and take a look at the patient. I'm biting my nails until his arrival.
Also, the frigging firewall not only blocks animation, it also effectively hinders me to post to the Stories of Arda. Said colleague also promised to take a look at that problem and if necessary throw out the stupid firewall, giving me instead clever little programmes to detect and get rid of spyware. The whole thing is ridiculous. What good is it to avoid possible spyware when I can's use my PC for what it's intended to be there?
Stargate: Atlantis starts tomorrow on RTL II. Our satellite dish acted up today (what a timing!) because of atmospheric disturbances or some other Tech thing. It seems to be okay now, but, well, the whole affair put me back into the nail-biting corner again.
Addendum: Read my very first Stargate-analysis here:

I so wish for a life without these everyday annoyances. It's bad enough that one has to live in constant fear of international politics, environmental pollution, terrorism, nature catastrophes and the likes - at least the small things should cooperate to give us a break, really. *sighs*
