Book-cases

They finally arrived - well, the lower parts of them, anyway. I only waited for them 11 months or so. They look pretty enough, and they don't take up too much space in my 7-square-metres study, surprisingly enough.

My only comlaint is, that the doors on both sides open into the opposite direction every sane person would expect them to do. But it seems that carpenters aren't sane persons. My fault, apparently. I should have think of that and tell him not to build the book-cases that way. How I am supposed to know what sort of ideas insane carpenters can get on a hot day, is beyond me, though.

Well, it can't be helped now. It'll take some getting used to, but I'll manage. At least, for being so slender, they have a great deal of storage space. The time when my notes and folders and books were piled up on the floor are now officially over.

I hope the upper parts will be arrive soon, too, so that I can get rid of the open shelves and hide my precious books behind smoke-coloured glass, soon. The book-cases have been built in the same fashion the small wall cabinet above my desk (same insane carpenter's work), so that the study will have the same style all over. It'll be nice, when it'll finally be done. The whole furniture made of light-coloured, natural-looking wood. I like that.

And tomorrow, We'll go to Vienna! Yayness! I hope it won't be as hot as here. Tonight we had heavy rainfall, but it didn't measure the heat a bit. *sighs*
