My new website, thank Kim's generous help, is taking shape nicely. Crossroads is now up, complete with [livejournal.com profile] archet's beautiful cover pic and the references and all that. So is Kansas, Birthright 1, Mission to Daleth IV and what's already done from the Alternate Caretaker story.

It's strangely liberating to post to one's own website, free from all the snobbery and ugliness and protectionism and all that shit. It's a lot of work, although Kim's doing the technical part of it (I'm still a web idiot), but I love it. When the sci-fi and horror site is as ready as it's possible with dozens of WIPs or even just planned stories, I'll go and rewamp the original Otherworlds site. Make it a place of my Tolkien fiction only. Probably original fantasy, too, but I'm not even sure about that. We'll see.

It's a nice feeling that I haven't done anything but creative work for the last two or three weeks. To be detached from everything else. I almost feel like I could write freely again. Without being nervous about the hostile reactions, the nitpicking, the lecturing and patronizing and everything that makes the various fandoms such an unpleasant place.

Thanks, Kim, for the help and for giving me this precious gift!

It is nice to hear that your creative forces are being liberated again. It gives me hope (with a small 'h' sadly ;)) since mine are pretty much stuck at the moment. That is why I am not posting at Edhellond for the time being as I need time to a) do research for my non-Tolkien stories and b) get my muses working again. Would you care to give Aragorn a whack over the head for me and tell him to start talking again? :) Thanks :) *hugs* See you and the others soon :)

Sorry for the babble *blush*

Oh, I didn't write anything particularly new, either. I'm putting together old sci-fi pieces, trying to get some order into my chaos and all that. My Tolkien muse is still dead, but at least I'm enjoying Star Trek and the original Galactica again and make some headway with a few long-overdue things like typing up my vampire timeline and who's who.

And I don't think I'd be the right person to get Aragorn do anything. You know we aren't the best buddies, right? *g*

Aw... *blush*
You're still doing most of the work, you know?

But if it gives you the sense you can write freely again, that's a wonderful consequence of (and bonus to) it all!

Uhm, why not? Because you know, it would be the same kind of trick the Nazgul use effectively most of the time ;) I tried to threaten him with giving Boromir to Elladan and he just sat there and grinned . Knew perfectly well that neither I nor my Elladan were interested. Stupid, sexy DĂșnadan! :)

No, I'm just doing the *writing*. You're doing the actual *work*.

But if it gives you the sense you can write freely again, that's a wonderful consequence of (and bonus to) it all!

It certainly is. It saves my creative juices from drying out.
