It's the small things that can make you despair. The fact that you can't plan a single day for yourself, because someone would make you change your plans anyway. A stupid website that choses not to accept your password anymore. Stupid people who can't be taught that airing a room means opening a window on one side, not on both. And so on. Dozens, hell, hundreds of such minor annoyances can make someone incredibly tired on the end of the day.

I developed a personal grudge against FF.Net and its admins. All my life, so-called friends backstabbed me, colleagues used me, my family made my life like a prison sentence - but I always had my writing to make me free. While I was writing for the desk drawer, I could do everything I wanted. There were no rules.

Then I got 'Net access and discovered the chance to publish. The rules started to confine me, but at the beginning, it wasn't too bad. Then more and more restrictions came, almost every archive had its set, or they only accepted a certain sort of stuff. FF.Net used to be he only refuge, as I never wrote any MSTings, kiddie pr0n or things like that, and hardly ever X-rated stuff.

But now I feel that my wings have been cut, and I'm losing inspiration at an alarming rate.

I'm just so frigging fired of all this, it's not even funny.

I found another archive that accepts any fandom and story type. Have to look up the address when I get my cable connection back. Then I will send it to you.

Hmm, really I have to do some research on multifandom sites and get back to you...

Odds are you can still continue posting on ff.net without ever running into problems. But there are a few other multifandom sites out there which would be good as backups.

Ok, darl.
http://www.quillsandink.com/fiction/

Go here, and take a look at this site. No restrictions on type of fic, slash, or anything. Non Tolkiein based fics and original fics accepted, and don't forget to look at the Imedhuir section, our virtual village set in an AU scenerio in Arda remade.

If you like it, you know I'll back your application for acceptance as an author.

I've been meaning to invite you, seeing as you write in so many fandoms and types of fics!

That's very sweet of you, Jillian, thanks. But as you might know, I have this personal peeve that I never post anything to archives that accept Real Person fiction. That's why I left the Library of Moria, and why I never posted to the "Of Elves and Men" site.

It might seem ridiculous, but we all have our personal squick factors. This is one of mine. I'm really sorry. I appreciate the gesture and am thankful that you'd be willing to support my application, I really am. Be not angry with me, please.

Not at all, I too dislike real person fics. However, I am involved in the site because of the Imedhuir writer's group, so must put up with the real person fics.

It was only a suggestion, and no hard feelings. Not every web site is everyone's cup of tea!
