We were hit with a new heat wave today. I got up extra early to do the grocery shopping/pharmacy run, but when I got home at 10am it was already 30 degrees. It climbed up to 35 by the afternoon, and we were floored for the rest of the day. Right now we are having a bit of wind, so things might cool down a bit by tomorrow. I just hope it doesn't come with stormy rain, as I'll have to take Mum to her cardiology appointment today. At noon, of course, when else? Wish us luck.

Not much else got done today. We had leftovers; all I had to make was a salad, which was easy enough. Other than that I moved as little as possible for the rest of the day... and was unreasonably irritated. So was Mum; I guess we're both anxious about tomorrow. *sigh*

I so hate this frigging heat! I mean, I'm willing to tolerate up to 30 degrees, it's summer, after all, and we are a landlocked country, but what's been going on lately was ridiculous!

I hope it cools off there soon. It's been a very hot summer here too. 90+F here this week again. But today we have a surprise: it is only 76F, and the house is nice and cool for one day!

We're up to the mid-30s again and it will creep even higher by Thursday. *sigh*
