Advent 2024 - Day 16

wiseheartOnce again, it was a busy day. (So much about lazing until Christmas, eh?)
In the morning I went to the post office and sent my belated Christmas cards on their merry way. Let's hope and prey that they reach their destination, however late it might be. Amen.
Then I made a short shopping tour; this time we needed shower gel, body lotion, soap, toothpaste and the likes. I valiantly withstood the urge to buy a few selected extremely appealing yet unnecessary food items. Go me! I did buy croissants in the corner café, though, since Mum can't make the walk in this weather: too cold to sit ten minutes on the bench halfway.
After that, I re-boxed the cookies, took my cookie gifts to the neighbours, made lunch, processed the mushrooms bought in the morning, packed the gift bag for Ilonka and her grandchildren (including Mr. Meece) that I'll take over to her house tomorrow. In-between we watched "The Repair Shop" and "Richterin Barbara Salesh", and then I put away the card-making paraphernalia.
Later on, I talked to Elise on the phone and we agreed that she'll fetch her cookie boxes on Thursday afternoon. Tomorrow Eenie is coming, so there will be lots of social life this week.
Last but not least: behold Mr. Meece, sitting in his Christmassy mug on a heap of sweets!

Tomorrow I will be occupied with gift wrapping everything for the family to put under the Christmas tree, after the morning errands and chores are done.
