Bureaucracy: 2, me: 1
Sep. 18th, 2024 08:42 pm... and I've still won. Meaning that I've finally dealt with Mum's senior support issue. That unimpressive amount of money is going to reach her via postal service, starting next year. Yay!
After that, I went to various shops for sewing and crafting supplies, built tulle and organza for the little angels I'm going to make, then visited the Lindt shop and built a huge bag of chocolate balls as their price was reduced by 20%. Still outrageously expensive, but we need some bad habits, too. We don't drink, don't smoke, gave up on women (joke, joke!), horse racings are cold events, so - chocolate. *g*
Those activities (plus a visit to Lidl and to a local market) cost me the whole morning and more. It was 2pm when I got home, and combined with the day I had yesterday, I was completely floored. Thank God, I didn't have to cook, thanks to leftover Shepherd's Pie. After the belated midday meal I just collapsed on my bed, wrote about two paragraphs, just to prove myself that I was writing, and then fell asleep for about an hour and a half.
That lovely sleep was interrupted twice by phone calls for Mum, and a third time by a call from my friend Evie; but by then it was 6pm already. So I just stayed up, had supper with Mum, watched the GBBO - The Professionals, and now the day is over. Why has time to run so fast?
