It is still hot; well, actually, we are expecting some heavy rain, which means we can't leave the windows wide open... right now when it's getting a bit cooler. Annoying.

I finally got Mum's medicine and did a bit of grocery shopping on my way back. Not much, but it was needed at the moment. Running out of milk counts as a tragedy in our house. ;))

My main PC is acting up; or rather the outdated operations system does. It still runs on Windows 7 and it's apparently no longer works as it's supposed to do. Every time it updates itself someone goes south. It started with the frigging Solitaire site, and now I can't properly access Pinterest, although it comes in without problems on my iPad and on my smartphone. Getting a new operations system is a pain in the derriere. First, I need to find someone who deigns to come and install it. Then I have to learn how to use it. *shudders*

The only good thing today is that I've actually finished the chapter I've been working on for... well, for a month or so. I've also restructured the Enterprise - The Maiden Voyage series. Meaning that it will become an actual series, with the originally planned story as the first part and - by the sight of it - five or six more (much shorter) stories following. That's the plan. Whether I'll live long enough to actually write all that stuff is to be seen.

Edit: Pinterest is back... hopefully for the good. *fingers crossed*

I'm not sure a new operating system can be installed on your old computer as they need a lot of memory, I'm afraid.

Oh, joy! Well, we'll see what's possible and what isn't... eventually.

Congratulations on the chapter! Go, you!

We have had sweltering heat for days. But this morning a huge storm passed over us just as I was logging my groceries from the store to the farthest spot in the parking lot. The winds were fierce, I could barely hold my cart, and I was completely drenched. Tomorrow the air will be nearly 30 degrees cooler! I can't wait. I hope you will be able to enjoy some cool breeze!!

Your poor PC... One of these times it's not going to be able to handle the system updates. I fear my 14 yr old laptop is heading in the same direction. Ugh.
Good luck to you and hugs to you and Mum!

You do have such problems with your tech. I would hold on installing any new system on an old machine. Each new system seems to use more memory and you could find yourself running out of space.

I know. Methuselah-the-laptop has passed 18; it could vote now or get a driving licence; alas, it can't access most of my favourite websites by now, as it still runs on Windows XP.

I hope you'll get some bearable weather, soon.

Gah, I hate the idea of having to buy a new computer while the old one still works just fine... except that the internet doesn't like it anymore.
