I mean Day 2 of the kitchen project. The morning was pleasant enough after last night's torrent rain, so that I could take Mum out to the café for breakfast. After which I hopped down to Lidl to buy a plum Streuselkuchen, as these apparently can be thawed out on room temperature in about five hours and eaten without the need to be baked up. I wanted one with apple filling, but those were too high on the shelf for me to reach, and this time there were no tall young men I could have asked for help. I do that regularly and shamelessly, but no such luck today. Mum said it was good as she prefers the plum one. Alas, tomorrow the Alpenfest (half-)week is over, or else I'd have tried my luck again.
I realize that most of the time I'm talking about food and grocery shopping, with some crafty stuff in-between. But the sad truth is: this has been my life for the last four years or so. Even getting down to the grocery shop next corner has become a big event. And I had such plans for my retirement...
Anyway, we were both too tired to finish the kitchen, especially as Mum also had a visit from the physiotherapist, so we decided to do it tomorrow. I had neither the strength nor the inspiration to do any crafting or writing today, but at least I've typed up some more of the stuff I had written a couple of days ago. One should count one's blessings.
