Back to sweltering

... so we decided to put the insane heat to some use and will have the carpet cleaner guy come on Wednesday with his special hoover to wash the wall-to-wall carpets in all rooms. Of course, that will mean two days of packing before the event and another two days afterwards, with circumstances of a tropical jungle in-between, so next week promises to be hell. But we have to do this when it's really hot, so that the carpets would dry in a day and a half. *sigh*

At least today was fairly relaxing. We rested a lot, I made Topfenknödel for lunch, made some progress with the pot-holder and wrote another page or so. We needed to gather our strength for tomorrow when the real stress will begin.

It is fairly gruelling, yes, but has to be done once a year. And by weather like this, else the carpets won’t dry for days and would rot away eventually, as they are glued on.
