We took the day off
Jul. 7th, 2024 10:36 pmYesterday was horribly exhausting, what with all the dratted housework and the heat. So, when I got up around 7 in the morning and saw that it was already 23°C, I decided to have a lazy day. Mum very much agreed, so we did... practically nothing today.
Well, I did wash my hair, worked a tiny bit on the next pot-holder, dissected a honeydew melon for later consumption and even managed to write a few lines of dialogue. But all this barely took me two hours. In exchange, we both had a nice, long nap in the afternoon, when it was the hottest (32°C). Mine lasted two and a half hours, yay! I felt better than I had for some time afterwards.
As for the rest of the day, I talked to H. on the phone, Mum had her usual two phone calls from her friends, we watched The Great Canadian Baking Show and ate leftovers. It was a real, honest-to-earth, relaxing Sunday.
