Silly weather
Jul. 2nd, 2024 09:23 pmWe had to postpone our visit to the café - again! Temperatures have dropped from 35°C to 25°C, which would have been beautiful; unfortunately, this came with such strong winds that Mum didn't want to risk being blow over. Not to mention that strong winds are very hard on her eyes, too. So I did the big shopping tour instead, and brought her the croissants from the café on my way back. I also made a very fancy chocolate cappuchino for breakfast to go with the croissant. ;)
What I also found, to my delightful surprise, were Terry's chocolate oranges. I never knew that Pepco has had them for ages; I only ever visit that shop for craft supplies. It was entirely by accident that I found the chocolate oranges. Mum was elated. We won't be able to go to London together ever again, but at least I could bring back the memory of London; that was the first time we've seen (and ate) those chocolate oranges. As a rule, they are not available here, and they were outrageously price-y, too, but from time to time...
The shopping tour took care of the morning and the early afternoon, but I've squeezed in a tiny bit of crafting and some writing, too, so I'm quite content.
