... but it was a busy day (with laundry and cooking), so I tried to put the morning hours to good use, in a great hurry. Unfortunately, it didn't help with my concentration crafting-wise.

I started with cutting out the panels of four more pot holders (still repurposing Mum's favourite dress that got massacred by the paramedics, back in February). I stitched them together, with a middle layer to make them more sturdy. So far, so good. Then, as I still had about half an hour before the next household duty would come my way, I started sewing one of them together. I even managed it on time - only to discover, when I was finished, that I'd sewn them together inside out. Meaning that I had to undo the whole thing. *facepalm*

I set that one aside afterwards and started a different one, which I half-finished. Not bad, considering the weather conditions. Still, I'm very angry with myself about the stupid mistake. I could have one finished if I weren't such a distracted idiot.

It’s hard to think in sweltering heat!

Could you stitch a felt flower on it and call it 'good enough'? Maybe you could offer it at a lower price to entice people?

It was 26° and 74% humidity when I went to bed at midnight ... it was horrible.
And then the storm came.
It's 20° today!

Since I was mostly work-free yesterday- if hubby wants family all around the clock he shall be the one to take care of it mostly- I thoroughly enjoyed the hot weather- until it turned from simply hot to hot and humid. Because that´s really the worst!

No, it was two long rows of (industrial) stitches that needed to be hidden inside. I've undone it and pinned the whole thing together again, but it will be the last one I take in hand again.

Mum watched the German football match that had to be interrupted — that was one brutal storm and no mistake. I hope to God that we'll only get rain. The balcony has already folded once this week. *fingers crossed*

I really, really hate hot weather. Always have, always will. It was the bane of my existence that I could only go on holidays in high summer because of the school term. I had high hopes for my retirement; holidays in early May or late September sounded so promising. But then came the plague, and then Mum broke her leg, and holidays got cancelled for good.
