New projects in the planning
Feb. 4th, 2024 07:40 pm... because I only have four huge suckers to finish, two of them with a deadline that seems to come closer and closer with each passing day, so - naturally - I've started something new. Two somethings, to be more accurate.
So, the one are these cute little felt teddy keyrings:
I'm planning to put them into nicely decorated medium-sized (5cm by 7cm) matchboxes. That will look great and fetch a good price on the next charity fair... or so I hope. So far I've cut out the basic shape of a brown and a white teddy and put them into a matchbox for later. *g*
And then I've made two of these:
Now I've got two finished brown ones and all the parts for two white ones cut out and prepared for the sewing. After Christmas is before Christmas, after all. ;))
On the household front, I took down the dried washing, fried crepes for lunch and took Mum out for a walk. We're training for the long-awaited trip to this café:

We've managed as far as the tram stop. The next step will be travelling by tram - something Mum hasn't done for, oh, four years or so. Fortunately, the trams on this line are low-floor ones, so in theory it ought to be doable. The final step promises to be the hardest: to climb from the terminus to the actual shopping centre where the café is situated. For some reason (perhaps to allow the rain to flow down) that part isn't completely level, so it will be a challenge. But we'll manage. Eventually. I hope.
NB: By importing this entry to DW the videos won't show up. I'm sorry.
