So, the fair was a big success. I've almost reached last year's record, even though I couldn't sell everything. It is hard to guess what would be in high demand in each respective year. But I did sell a great many things; what didn't sell will go to friends and family as small gifts or wait till next year. Fortunately, neither felt nor tinfoil would rot easily. I'm very happy with the money I managed to raise, especially as I sell small stuff that is fairly cheap. My most expensive items were the little sewing kits, and those went for the equivalent of 2 Euros.

Both my friend Evie and a colleague were taking photos; as soon as I get them I'll share them, I promise. After the fair Evie gave me a lift home, which was a real blessing, as I was deadly tired after having spent six hours at my booth, both with laying out my wares and selling them.

Edit:
And I've just received the following message from LJ:

Dear author,

we deeply appreciate you sharing your thoughts, art, and ideas in the blog. This must be truly inspirational and uplifting for your audience.

Hence, we've considered how time you are spending in LiveJournal could be made nicer and more pleasant. Therefore, we extend your Professional package for a month!

Go on sharing your thoughts, ideas, and joys with the readers, and be happy!

With love,
LJ team.

Clearly, being faithful for 20 years and posting regularly pays off. Yay!

I got that message as well but as I have a permanent account it's no use to me!

OTOH you don't have to worry about your paid account running out — unlike me!

That’s great news! What items didn’t sell? How interesting that the popular items vary from year to year.

One free month is definitely a nice gift. I'm so pleased you did well at the craft fair. I know how long it takes to set up a booth/stall. I reached the point where, with help, I could set up mine in about forty minutes. I can't imagine doing it alone.

The tinfoil garlands and, strangely enough, the lavender pillows. I thought the girls would go mad over the unicorn pattern, but they didn't.

Well, yeah, mine was basically just a long table where I had to drape my stuff invitingly. It was still a lot of work though.

So glad the fair went well! I imagine the sewing kits were quite popular. Surprising that you had lavender pillows left, I thought they were cute.

You can never guess in advance what will be in high demand in any given year, alas.
