So, I've finally get around to add the thread samples to the mini sewing kits, which was really boring, but at least they are finished.

This is what they look like when closed:

And when opened, they are like this:

All the finished lavender pillows, including the two mini ones that serve as keyrings:

(I've got so much of this fabric left, I think I'm gonna use it for several Christmas fairs to come yet...)

And, of course, I can't help but boast with my tiny little gift tags, either:

And, last but not least, the Spekulatius spice and the ginger syrup, all bottled and prettied up and ready for using:

Otherwise it was a blessfully quiet day. I continued with rearranging the "pantry" shelves; that is, I've emptied one shelf, put everything on the kitchen table and am now trying to work out a way they should get back to the shelf in a hopefully more efficient way. We'll see. All the stuff is still fine, save for the poppy seed that had gone musty, so I had to throw it out. Annoying, as it's so expensive, and you can't buy small amounts of it. I guess I'll have to put the new package into the freezer, as I do with all the various nuts. *sigh*

Mum had a visit from the physiotherapist lady, and I had choir practice. At which my (ex-)colleague, Erica, delivered a whole bag of empty toilet rolls, as promised. So I can make a lot more surprise boxes for the fair. Yay!

Eenie gave me a lift home and asked on the way, what kind of ingredients should she buy for me, in order to be one of the cookie box recipients for Christmas. I told her she'd have gotten cookies anyway, so there is no need, but she insisted. Well, I'll have to delegate things between her and Elise who also insists to contribute ingredients each year. A good thing that I'm already planning to make a lot of biscuits again!

I'd think next weekend. Or the second half of the week; the first three days promise to be busy. The cookies are meant to go to the recipients around the second week/early third week of December, so I'll have to pick up speed, soon.

Personally I'm not into unicorns, especially not into pink and purple ones, but I bought the stuff for a different project and these are the leftovers.

Everything looks wonderful! The mini sewing kits are especially cute, and the gift tags are very decorative.

I think it's lovely that your friends want to contribute to your baking. I know you love to give them as a gift, but you make so many that there must be times when it stretches your budget. The little sewing kits are so pretty. I used to always have a sewing kit in my handbag, but for some reason I realise that I stopped when I retired.

I always had a sewing kit in my handbag (snatched from a hotel). but no more now that I am retired. Yours are so adorable!

My poppy seeds live in the fridge, where they will last for a long time when opened.

Retirement means that we make most things at home, so no need to take the entire household around in your handbag. *g*

The fridge sounds reasonable, too, but the freezer means they are not in the way on the daily basis. ;)
