Slowly approaching the year's end

wiseheartThe first signs of the upcoming winter have already appeared in the supermarkets: Aldi has brought out various kinds of Christmassy cakes: Spekulatius, Dominosteine, Stollen, Lebkuchen and the likes. And, of course, the first chocolate Santas. I steadfastly refuse to buy any of those before mid-November. It's a matter of principle, after all! *g*
I did buy my planner for 2024, though - the cheapest paperback one I could find, but a pretty one nonetheless, with a very colourful mandala on both the front and the back cover. Let's hope my eyes won't start bleeding from looking at it every single day next year. All the more tasteful ones were unreasonably expensive; and besides, the mandala itself isn't that bad. Only the colours are a bit garish. See for yourself - although, TBH, the colours are a lot worse in real life. They've clearly toned them down a bit on the photo. Ah, well, I can live with it - and if I can't, after all, I'll glue some other paper over it!
Aside from that, I've done the weekly grocery shopping today, which took me the whole morning and included hauling heavy shopping bags home. I'm accordingly exhausted and did no crafting at all in the afternoon. Which means I'll have to do a lot of sewing tomorrow to stay on schedule, but sometimes an old hag needs a break.
Fortunately, Mum was content with eating carrot soup and leftover banana bread for lunch, so I didn't have to do too much cooking. Tomorrow I'll do better. I've bought mushrooms, after all. ;))
