I overslept. I shouldn't stay up watching crap telly so late but honestly, what other fun do I have? Oversleeping has the unfortunate consequence that my daily schedule gets... slippery; or else I have to work really hard to keep up with it. Plus, I haven't overslept long enough not to be tired and slow-witted anyway. *sigh*
Still, I've finished another seven Christmas ornament today, cooked lunch, solved some crossword puzzles and played a bit of Solitaire on my geriatric laptop. It just all happened in a sluggish manner, with dropping things all the time, with the sewing thread getting ensnarled after every third stitch, with me nodding off in the middle of a crossword puzzle and all that. Well, at least I didn't have to leave the house today; that might have been courting accidents. *g*
It was very windy today, and as by such weather usually, Mum's joints were achy all day. So we decided not to go for a walk, but at least trotted down to the mailbox to check on our mail. As expected, there was none; all bills had arrived yesterday and the day before. Joy, joy!
I'm currently trying to decide whether I should go to the supermarkets tomorrow or the day after. Originally I thought I would visit the craft discount with my goddaughter tomorrow (that was how Mum remembered, too, and she has a much better head for dates and numbers than I), but E. hasn't called, so perhaps I'll wait until Friday with the grocery shopping. We've got enough food in the house for another two days, and that way I'll have the time to go through the supermarkets' flyers in peace, to see what's on offer. Plus I can work a bit on those mini sewing kits tomorrow.

Date: 2023-10-09 03:13 am (UTC)I don't like winter for that reason, everything that hurts is worse during cold or wintry weather. Bleh, summer was too hot, and now that it is gone, I miss it. When it comes to cold weather, I am afraid I put off until tomorrow a bit too much! But sometimes, putting stuff off until another day works wonders for your peace of mind.
