I went grocery shopping in the morning, which meant three different tours within four hours - every item offered for a reduced price was offered by a different supermarket, and they are in three different directions, of course. I also paid my closest craft shops a visit on my way an bought two things I didn't really need... but I felt I deserved a treat after all this. At least the automated coffee machine worked in the Savoya shopping center - always a delight.

Higher brain functions have shut down after that, so not much else was done today. But that's okay. I really needed the rest.

At least you won't have to go shopping again for a few days.

The heat fried my brain yesterday, too.

I love how you could slip crafty rewards between the separate errands for the sales items:)
And a well-deserved rest after all that activity sounds wonderful!

Those visits to the crafts shops are my consolation price. *g*

For me it is more the exhaustion — not so much the physical one as the mental one. For nearly four years I had nothing but housework and caregiving and the occasional crafting or baking frenzy; the monotony hollows me out from the inside. All my life I was surrounded by peope; I was not made to be a hermit. Even if sometimes (well, quite often, to tell the truth) those people were annoying, I still miss them.

Which is why I've come to value LJ so much more than before. If I couldn't "talk" to you and [livejournal.com profile] elwenlj and [livejournal.com profile] adafrog and [livejournal.com profile] meathiel on the daily basis, not to mention a few others who show up more or less regularly, I think I'd have gone mad already. My RL friends are all so busy, either with work or with kids/grandkids, if I didn't hunt them down from time to time we wouldn't have any contact at all! You know how it is: aus den Augen, aus dem Sinn. :(
