All prettied up

wiseheartI finally got a haircut today. Now I look almost civilized, except that it makes the fact that my hair is seriously thinning more obvious. Ah, well, everything has its price.
After the appointment at the hairdresser's I went to the nearby craft shops that I don't get to visit otherwise. I found some very pretty thin felt, pale pink and turquoise, both with white polka dots. I absolutely didn't need felt like those, but they were too pretty not to buy them. And I bought some more coloured lolly sticks. Because you never have enough of the right colours when crafting. Yes, I know I'm slightly obsessed. *sigh*
Coming home, I gave the one-pot cauliflower pasta another try. This time it turned out closer to what it was supposed to be like. Mum approved.
I also had two nice phone calls, from my friends Eenie and Evie. So, social life was also being had. Yay!
It is still very hot, but the first strong winds have arrived. Weather forecast promises a sudden drop of temperatures starting late tomorrow - with lots of rain. Good for the fields, bad for Mum's joints and the balcony. Still, a break from the heat will be welcome.

Date: 2023-07-25 07:24 am (UTC)You have my sympathy on the hair front. Mine is painfully thin on top nowadays. Fortunately, I can persuade it (with the aid of much styling mousse) to wave, which makes it look like there's more than there actually is...until I get under strong overhead light.
