Fed up

We had our usual cleaning frenzy. It's frigging hot, so we have to keep the blinds down (we get direct sunlight all afternoon), which means either doing everything by artificial light or not doing it at all. After the cleaning, we opted for the second. Thank God for leftovers - no need to cook.

Oh, and AO3 is down, so I can't even read. Joy, joy, joy - NOT!

30 degrees is not hot when you live at the outskirts of a small town and have water aplenty to cool down. it´s worse in big towns, have been there once...

We did the same for dinner yesterday, just having leftovers, making our own plates of food from an assortment of things in the refrigerator. I ate mine cold. I didn't even want to heat the chicken:)

It's very hot here today. I did my errands in the early morning, and already it was too hot to even enjoy the sunshine. We really need some rain.

Have you got a favorite book you could snuggle up with? Of course, who wants to snuggle when it's sweltering. I used to run a bath of cool water and read in the tub to cool off!

I cannot read much in this weather; we get direct sunlight most of the day, so we have to let the blinds closed. And I refuse to read by artificial light in high summer.

It is rather brutal at the moment. The insulation done two years ago helps, but not enough.
