Next week promises to be a bit hectic, so I tried to get as much done creatively as I could today. Namely, I wrote two entire scenes for "Timescapes" and started the third one. I'm still nowhere near to finishing the chapter - I'm at one-third at best - but at least I'm producing words. Whether they'll get together to form anything coherent... we'll see.

I also worked on the songbook with the September deadline a bit. Not too much, honestly, just adding the sails to the wind mill, but I'm content with the outcome, so it's good. Tomorrow I might give the little house on Page #8 a try.

The morning was blessedly cool, but in the early afternoon temperatures started climbing again. It will be a bit above 30°C all week, it seems. So, making the food run fairly early in the morning tomorrow might be a good idea. I'd prefer to skip the whole shopping, but the fridge is fairly empty. We won't even have bread for breakfast. Or cold cuts. Or yogurt. Or a single potato. All of which are very important for our household. *g*

At least I didn't have to cook today, save for boiling some noodles to the semi-Chinese leftovers from yesterday. We still have some soup left, so I might simply buy some Danishes for lunch when on my shopping tour.

My sympathies! You really do need to go shopping, alas

(so do I, I postponed it once again on Saturday by baking bread but now I'm nearly out of eggs too and we haven't had potatoes for a week)

I don't know why I'm whining, Lidl literally is next corner and Aldi just a little bit further down the road, but the mere thought to get dressed — I mean in anything else but the home rags — could make me cry. Stupid, I know. I should be glad to get out of the house, since this hermit life isn't good for my mental health.

They told us we´d have one cool day. Now we are at day number three and just have reached twenty degrees. That´s not what i want for summer, even though I do not like heat, either! Twent- five to thirty degrees, that´s what I want!

Yeah, but grocery shopping is such an unpleasant task. All that lugging heavy bags, and it's not like discovering the latest price hikes ever sparks joy
