Taking a break

... from my felt work, I've turned back to my paper craft today. Made another three tags for the baby book - am nearly done with that part (the fun one) and (not) looking forward to make the page bases. But needs must, as we all know...

Today, there was social life in our flat! My friend Evie dropped by, bringing us raspberries, a salad and a zucchini from her own garden. Aside from the fact that the raspberries sold in the supermarket cost a fortune, their (lack of) taste can't even be compared with the aroma of the ones grown by Evie. Mum and I ate the entire bowl for dessert!

Not much else happened today, save for a bit of very simple cooking. Plus, I grated the cheese for the buns/savoury scones/whatever that I'm planning to make tomorrow. That left me time for a much-needed afternoon nap, so I'm almost feeling human again. Afternoon naps are for the win!

Raspberries are expensive here, too. I had some whilst watching TV the other day, but the ones from shops are rarely as sweet as those picked from a garden. I think it's because they have to pick them early, to ensure they don't turn to mush in transit.

That is very likely. We still buy them whenever we can, but the ones Evie brought were magnitudes better.
