... I've become somewhat weather-sensitive, it seems. In my time as a shiny new product I could only feel the oncoming heat. Now I feel the oncoming rainy times as well. Drat. Mum and I both got up like death warmed over today. She complained about her joints - every single one of them, or at least it seemed so - and I wasn't much better off. This is the first time that even my fingers hurt! At least until I got under the shower. Fortunately, it stopped after that, but it certainly was an unpleasant experience.

I've made two new tags for the baby book today; not as work-intensive as the previous ones, since this time I could use some ready-made embellishments, like self-adhesive acrylic stones and handmade paper flowers, but still a lot of effort nonetheless. I'm happy with the outcome, so it was worth the effort.

Choir practice was a bit... lackluster today. Everyone felt under the weather, and we even finished twenty minutes earlier than usual, despite having had a break. Concert is on Sunday, as I've mentioned before, and the whole programme appears a bit ad hoc and all over the place. I hope we'll manage to offer an enjoyable performance nonetheless. *fingers crossed* At least our conductor liked the textile book that I'd delivered right before the practice.

And I've just talked to my friend Evie on the phone. It was really nice. That woman is a jewel, she really is.

Oh, yes! All night, and once in the morning, too. Right now it looks like another bout is coming up. Lousy weather is very reliable in these parts of the world.

When I was young I thought it must be amazing to be able to predict rain through your joints. Until I realised the pain!

I have an arthritic joint in one (so far) finger of my right hand, which objects loudly when I sew for too long in one session, or when the weather is cold. The joys of getting older.

Thanks, I have the feeling that we'll need all the luck in the world.

Yes, but the only other option is to die young, which isn't such a great thing, either.

Óh, the joys of getting older! And did you get rain?

Repeatedly. Which is good for my friend Evie as she won't have to water her garden as much as usual, but not so good for me. Aside from the rheumatic "joys", I'm always nervous about the dratted balcony.

Ugh, I have been getting aches in my joints when the barometric pressure is low before the rain for some years now, fortunately not too bad, but as the years go by it's definitely more noticeable. I hope it's eased up for you. We are currently going through a long unusual dry spell, could really use rain.
Good luck with the Sunday concert, I hope it all comes together nicely for the event!
