Happy Birthday, sallymn! I hope you had fun and sis baked you something yummy. In any case, here are some virtual calories:

My day was a bit hectic. I overslept, and as a result my daily routine was turned upside down a bit. I had to sacrifice my one peaceful morning hour, in which I do my crafting or (very rarely) my writing to get things under control. *sigh*
At least I had a nice, long phone chat with my friend Evie, even if it cost me my afternoon nap. Then I took Mum out for a walk, using the nice weather (no way to know how long it will last), and the day was over already. Unfortunately, most of my days are similar - without the oversleeping part. I don't know why time is flying by so quickly.

Today we had asparagus with bechamel sauce and new potatoes. I love asparagus, but this batch didn't have much taste. Perhaps it was a bit old already. Ah, well, the season is over so quickly, we try to make the best of it.

I'm happy that the rain has stopped there. How did your balcony fair? We have sunshine here, too. To celebrate, I cleared weeds from a patch of concrete under the kitchen window. My reward was to find a huge spider in the kitchen sink this morning.

We've been lucky during the rain season. The rain didn't fall in that particular angle where it would hit the only spot where the water can come in. We asked the janitor again when the repair team could be expected, but he couldn't tell. After all, we've just reported the problem two years ago...
