Never enough time!

Today I got up almost 50 minutes earlier than usual, as Mum was waiting for the postwoman to deliver her pension, and sometimes she can come fairly early. One would think that it would mean I had lots and lots of useful me-time that way... one would be wrong.

Of course, the fact that I felt the irresistible urge to bake coconut-cashew snowballs (like the ones in the third row from the left) might have had to do something with that.

In any case, they turned out well, and as they are quite filling, too, we decided not to cook today, except Tütensuppe, made of the boiling water of the asparagus from two days ago. It was a grand lunch.

German TV has played a prank on me, now showing two episode of my favourite court show a day: one at 11am and one at 3pm, making any sensible work schedule fail utterly. After the first episode, I made lunch. After the second episode I took Mum out for a walk. Then I called my friend Evie to see how she's doing (she's managed to strain her back three days ago). And with that, the day was basically over.

I still managed to make some small embellishments for the Hello Kitty booklets, namely the coffee table with a coffee jug and a mug for each living room. Tiny, tiny pieces that I had to handle with my sausage fingers. Lots and lots of time required for each move. *sigh*

I really don't understand how did I have so much time for everything while I was still working!

One of the joys I have discovered about streaming TV is that I can schedule programs for when it suits me. Want to binge watch thirty episodes? Do it. Want to slide one short episode between shopping and laundry? Why not?

Well, I'm still in that phase... more or less. I mean, I do have a lot of DVDs, but I can't use them for background noise. I have to pay close attention (and put on the English subtitles) to follow. I don't need that with German programmes; plus, they help me not to forget the language.

AFAIK there's a limit how much money they are allowed to carry at any given time, so they have to return to the post office for more several times on pension delivery day.

I could stream Netflix and Amazon Prime- only that I simply have zero energy to do so. As if turning my TV on would be too hard a job...
