... is still a holiday over here, so TV programme sucks as usual on such days. Therefore I decided to do some minor crafting and finished decorating the gardening notebook for my friend Evie. It is basically a hardback notebook I got from [livejournal.com profile] the_wild_iris years and years ago, with lined pages, but I can't write into hardback notebooks very well, so it was just sitting on the shelf, gathering dust. Now I've prettied up the inner cover (no need to do so with the outer one, it's pretty enough) and will give it to Evie as an Easter gift.

Lookie, lookie:

Also, I've decided to give the Hefezopf another try, as the mixed Easter buns landed in the bin. Guess what: the Hefezopf turned out disastrous as well, hard as rubber. I think there must have been something wrong with the last package of flour, as the shrotcut pastry for my quiche was almost impossible to use, too. At least I hope it was the flour and not some weird curse that killed my baking mojo. That would be seriously frightening.

The other thing that I found mildly shocking was that someone obviously reposted my previous entry. I respectfully asked them not to do so again, but I still don't like it. I don't want to turn my LJ friends only - I like to connect with new people - but if this happens again I won't have any other choice, I'm afraid. Why do people do such things? It's bad enough that LJ allows it. :(

I sometimes reposted friends' entries by accident. It's easily done on the tablet ...

I didn't know that. Idiotic arrangement from LJ, then.

Ugh, people! That's why my LJ has always been friends-only, I don't want all and sundry popping in. Even if I do like to connect with new people.

How weird. Why would someone repost someone else’s entry? Good luck with the baking magic! Hopefully it’s the ingredients and once they’re gone your magic will return.

How strange, that someone would even want to repost an lj entry. I'm so sorry to hear about your baking problems. I know there are different qualities of flour, so it could be possible that some suppliers are trying to keep prices down by using lower grade stuff.

So do I, honestly. I've never had such continued misfortune before. I think it must have been the flour.

The odd thing is, I've been using this same brand for years and it never caused a problem before. Something must have gone wrong with this package.

That´s strange! Why would a person want to repost an entry? Maybe she/he hit the wrong button? The thing with the flour is strange, too. I always thought that it´s the raising agent which causes fails...

Me, too! But after having used two different kinds of yeast (fresh and instant, respectively), and having problems with the shortcut pastry as well (which has no raising agent at all), I've come to the conclusion that it must have been the flour, after all.

I don't mind new people popping in. I just don't want my entry reposted anywhere.
