I had to start early today because we had no bread in the house, so food shopping was required before breakfast. It isn't that a rare occasion (I mean shopping before breakfast), since I've been done this interval fasting for years, so breakfast usually takes place around 11am in our house.

Of course I managed to oversleep, and since I also had to wash my hair first, it was well beyond 11 when I got home, having gone to two different supermarkets and the Chinese market for cosmetics stuff. During which I conveniently forgot to buy orange juice (of vital importance for tomorrow, when I'm planning to make orange-flavoured biscuits) and quark (also needed for a later attempt of baking). Stupid is as stupid does.

Still, I managed to do a bit of writing between the shopping tours and 3am, at which time I had to leave the house again: to go to the third supermarket on my way to choir practice. All necessary items bought, I went to school, ordered my eggs for the next month, and then we had choir practice. And cake, since our conductor had birthday, and the husband of our friend Eenie baked a wonderful bunt cake for her. (He's a trained cook and baker, even though he works in a vastly different field.) Choir practice itself was fun as always, but the cake made it even better. :)

Coming home, I called my friend Evie to listen to her decluttering report (today was the time when all sorts of household rubbish were collected and removed by the city authorities for free, as long as one put them outside the house) and to make sure the insanely strong winds haven't damaged her newly planted trees and berry bushes. Good new in both cases, so that's a relief.

Yeah, it was a somewhat disjointed day, but I've accomplished a lot and had fun, so I'm not complaining. :)

I hate grocery shopping on an empty stomach.

Which is why I'm planning an experimental one for Easter. ;)
(Experimental for me, that is!)

I always buy the wrong things if I shop in an empty stomach! Junk food rather than real food. Quick to eat items rather than ingredients. Luckily I now do my grocery shopping online and get it delivered, which means that I stick to permitted to eat items. Although since I do that, I have many a night craving chocolate with no sweets in sight!

I wish my council did an amnesty rubbish collection. My bed/mattress needs replacing but one of the things putting me off buying a new one is the prospect of paying £40 to the council to get rid of the old one.

Definitely no food shopping before breakfast for me. Poor staff in the shop would not survive an encounter with my grumpy me...

I got so used to this interval fasting thing that I can operate on an empty stomach (and without even coffee!) for several hours in the morning. It wasn't always like this, to put it mildly...

They do it once a year here, and we're really happy about it.

Strangely enough, I don't really mind.

You are not allowed sweets? That's sad. :(
