Today was blessedly uneventful. I postponed the food run for tomorrow because I realized that some sales won't happen until Friday, and we didn't have to cook (long live the leftovers!), so I could do something for myself.

Three somethings, in fact.

#1 - I started on the next chapter of "A Stitch in Time"; wrote the beginning and inserted some previously written paragraphs. Which means I'm a page and a half into the chapter already. Yay!

#2 - I did a good bit of crafting: have made and applied the square windows for the living rooms in all Hello Kitty booklets, plus made some embellishments for the already finished baby books. All three of them.

#3 - I finally managed to take a nap after lunch, before I'd keel over from exhaustion. It was a close thing; having slept less than 6 hours for several nights is simply no longer enough for this old hag. The nap wasn't as long as I'd have to like it, but longer than expected, so transcribing today's words to the computer will have to wait for tomorrow. Still, that brief rest was a real blessing.

Other than that, we watched some telly and I had a chat with my friend Evie. All in all, a nice day.

I'd be a zombie on so little sleep! I'm glad you could fit in a nap.

So good that you finally had a nap. It and it’s great that you wrote. Do you hand write your stories? Is that why you transcribe onto the computer?

I'm really happy to hear that you are writing again, in whatever quantities or quality.

[livejournal.com profile] picowrimo session is always a great help. And since I'm usually running the show, people feel obliged to encourage me, even if they wouldn't be interested otherwise. *g*

I'm not so sure the momentum will carry me on much longer afterwards, though.

Always! Something that isn't written down in real form, in a notebook that I can take in hand, leaf through, write side notes and make corrections when I'm offline (which is the greater part of the day) doesn't even exist for me.

Besides, as I always liked to tell my pupils, handwriting is something that works even during electricity fallout. *g*

So am I, believe me! I was pretty much zombified myself in the recent days.

We all need good days to wade through the usual shit life throws at us.

Glad you were able to refuel energy for the next food run by doing a nap!
