I'm afraid I'm not a very good Christian since I regularly violate the Third Commandment, being busier on Sundays than any other day, most likely.

Today I started with putting the laundried stuff away. Continued with going to two different supermarkets. After that I made breakfast, cut up the dried-out bread from last week to make breadcrumbs of it (we don't throw out food as long as it can be used otherwise), then rewrote a lengthy scene for a future chapter of "A Stitch in Time". It took me two hours, I think, but I'm pleased with the outcome.

We ate leftovers for (Grandma is turning in her grave again), then I did some crafting; not because I'd actually feel like it - I would have preferred a lengthy nap - but because the deadline is coming closer ominously and I still have a lot of work to do on those three baby books. At least now all page bases are finished. Next up: the binding (shudders) and embellishments. Many, many embellishments, very little time to make them.

That isn't how I prefer my crafting, but [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo is also in session, and I'm trying to keep up with my plan to write something each day, even if it's only a little. But that means that my nonexistent spare time has to be split up between writing and crafts, so it isn't easy.*sigh*

And then there are the household joys, of course - tomorrow is time for the regular cleaning frenzy, and Mum has developed brand new ideas what has to be done before Easter cleaning-wise. :(

I'm not a Xtian but I like quiet Sundays. 😁
Though we made Schnitzel and mashed potatoes from scratch today plus red cabbage from a tin. So not an entirely lazy day.

Wish I could send you my free time- not much to do here on a wintery Sunday!

Perhaps, but Schnitzel and mashed potatoes are totally worth the effort!

A bit of extra time would be mightily welcome indeed!

Well I hope so! Couldn't resist, though. :D

But I deleted it, I really wasn't being an idiot.

I had a very quiet Sunday. It was stinking hot 🥵. Today I’m making up for it. Medical appointments, then shopping, then hopefully cooking some things for future meals. I’m planning on roasting some eggplants, and a few capsicums and zucchinis, so that I can make meals out of them later. Summer is great for the fruit and veggies, even if the heat is unbearable!

What do you use the breadcrumbs for?

I dislike crafting to a deadline. For me, it sucks all the joy out of it. But then, I have always hated working to somebody else's timetable. I don't even like having clocks around me. I have them, because I have to, but visitors complain that they have to hunt for them. I tuck them away in discreet corners.

For a great deal of various dishes, actually; Schnitzel being the main one. But also various veggies, steamed and rolled in roasted bread crumbs, quark dumplings treated the same way and much more.

Yeah, deadlines are an awful pressure, but since I make most of my crafts for various set events, there's no way around it. *sigh*
