Advent, Day 6
Dec. 6th, 2022 08:11 pmHappy St. Nicholas Day!

It is a rather big thing over here, with children getting small gifts (mostly chocolate or the likes). There was a small St. Nicholas fete for the little kids and grandkids of the colleagues at school, so we got some cute toddlers to see before choir practice. It was fun.
Also, my poinsettia flowers are done. They are a bit avant-garde, seeing that I've made them free-hand, from whatever felt rests I could dig out of my stash, but I find them lovely nonetheless:

In Hungarian, they are called "St. Nicholas's flowers", so finishing them on this day of all days was fitting, I think.
Also, I've packed all my wares together and took them to school, in case there'll be rain on Thursday. A good half of them are paper-based or otherwise sensitive to water, and since I don't have a car but do have a long walk from the bus stop to the school, I thought "better safe than sorry". I really hope nothing is gonna happen in the next two days and the fair can take place (and I can attend, too). It's been too long!
You can see a few pictures from the earlier fairs here. The last one was in 2019, due to stupid Covid.
