It is finished, and I'm more or less content with the outcome. There could be a bit more background stuff, and the colours are a bit too bright, but all in all, it is okay. See for yourself:

In original, the colours are a tad milder, but I had to doctor the picture a bit because the iPad mini turned the reds into oranges. As a result, everything got a little garish, but that can't be helped. Let's hope Dani will love the teddy and all the removable parts - which is basically everything, except the ship's body.

Other than that, I had kitchen duty and performed the big cauliflower massacre, making a dish of cauliflowers, bechamel sauce and grated cheese, baked over in the oven, plus tomato soup from the scratch and the basics of a cauliflower soup that will be finished in two days' time or so, when we're through the tomato one. Afterwards I was accordingly dead on my feet, so nothing else got done, really.

This housewife-y slave labour really isn't my thing. And no, baking is a different category entirely. Baking is art!

I believe the mischievous Meerestiere will be favourites!

Housewifey stuff sucks.

They are cute, aren't they? I bought this particular set of stickers years ago, in the hope that they'll be good for something one day, and lo and behold — they were!

Boy, so glad that I am quite capable of avoiding the big cauliflower massacre! And children do love bright colours, so the young one will be delighted with this page!

Baking is not art. It is magic, and you will never convince me otherwise.

I must respectfully disagree. If it were magic, things would be much easier: you'd only need one spell per bake and the things would always turn out well. In real life, however, you never know how something you've already baked one hundred times will turn out at the 101st time. Unfortunately. *sigh*

I know it's shocking, but I actually like cauliflower. *g*
I hope Dani will love this page indeed.
