Okay, I got up an hour earlier than usual because we expected the chiropodist, and I wanted to do the food shopping first. I hate getting up early, in case you haven't realized yet...

The chiropodist came in time (oh wonder of wonders), but for that, she took her sweet time with doing her job. As I mentioned before, she seems unable to talk and work at the same time, and she does talk a lot. Nuff said.

My friend Evie was supposed to come over in the early afternoon, but she couldn't, as she wasn't feeling well and didn't want to share whatever she might have with us. She's a responsible person. She also forgot to cancel her visit, though, so we were waiting for two hours before I decided to call and see what's going on. We've rescheduled for tomorrow.

Meanwhile I also had two nerve-wrecking phone conversation with Vodafone, but it seems they have actually managed to finalize our new contract. Or so I hope. They sent me a link where I can view it, but for that I ought to register or whatnot, and I just don't dare to do that on my own. Have I mentioned that I'm a techno-wheenie? Well, perhaps I'll ask Evie to help me with it tomorrow. Or the physiotherapist. I hate being such an internet illiterate, but some things are just not my cup of tea.

Considering all this, very little of actual use was done today. I worked a bit on the tinfoil Christmas garlands while the chiropodist was here, and I prepared some parts for the next batch of Christmas cards, but that was about it. Writing, of course, was out of question with a mindset like that. *sigh*

A lot of supermarket cashiers are like that. I never say anything but I'm thinking, all you have to do is swipe the stuff over the scanner while you talk. Ergh!

I haven't had the luxury of sleeping as long as I'd like even since last February (= Mum's accident). It isn't her fault, and it can't be changed, but sometimes I get nostalgic feelings about late morning sleep...

Registering is honestly not as hard as it sounds. The online forms take you through the process, and it usually involves asking for your telephone number, email addy, name and address. You will have to come up with a password, but that's about it. (I use an old address book to store all my passwords for various sites.) Good luck.

I'm such a frigging coward when it comes to technology! I manage well enough if someone shows me how to do things and watches while I do it a couple of times — that's how I once immatriculated three eight-term classes to secondary school online — but I don't dare to try new things on my own. *sigh*

I store my passwords in my planner; then I copy them to the new one and tear the old one to microscopic pieces before throwing it out, just in case.
