In my youth, November 7 was a bank holiday: the rememberance day of the Great October Revolution in Russia. Mandatory holiday for all states behind the Iron Curtain.

It was also the day we moved into our current home, back in 1977. Goodness, it has been that long! It was also our very first real home, ever since my grandparents got deported in 1953. So yeah, a very important day for us all. I'm glad Granny lived for another 19 years to enjoy being in our own after all those years; because living with my uncle's family from 1965-1977 wasn't always pleasant, either. Which is the real reason we have fond feelings for this particular date. :)

That said, we "celebrated" by having our bi-weekly cleaning frenzy today. Afterwards, I was dead on my feet, thus the battle with Vodafone got postponed for tomorrow. I don't think another day would count. I did a teensy bit of crafting: the damp coming from the locomotive's chimney and two more Christmas card, then I took a short afternoon nap. Afterwards I got online and even typed up a couple of paragraphs for "The Old Terror".

So, a busy day, but I got much done, so it's good.

That's a long time to live in one place.
We've been living here for 25 years and a bit ... 😁

That sounds like a good mix of crafting. You should write down your memories of family and living on both sides of the iron curtain.

That was a lot of women power, which filled the new home then!

Happy home anniversary!

I was thinking about the Vodafone battle. I was thinking that Vodafone would make an excellent name for a villain in your story.

My Grandpa was of German origins. Such things were heavily frowned upon in Romania back in the early 1950, even though the family had lived there since the 18th century.

Nah, I don't like to think back at those times. Despite the fact that my Grandpa was still with us then.

The problem is, they are simply stupid. A stupid villain is boring.
