Rain

We finally had it today. Not overly much, but not the usual three drops like in recent weeks. Today it rained properly - and it even stayed out of the balcony, so it's double win. Temperatures have cooled down enough to take Mum out for a walk, which we both enjoyed. The only thing it couldn't help with is the permanent exhaustion I'm feeling, but that has most likely more to do with all the stress we've had recently. The morning hours are more or less fine, but I'm all knocked out after mid-day. *sigh*

My friend Evie has moved today. She got the furniture into the new house before the rain started, which is a good thing. She still got caught in the downpour a little later, so the towels and the hair-dryer that had already been moved into the new place were put to good use.

I worked a bit on the Three Kings in front of the telly again. The bodies are now all fixed, so are most of the heads. I still have to stitch on 13 out of the 33 heads, but that's the easy part. When that is done, the embellishments will take over, and that promises to be fussy work. Kings like lots of shiny stuff.

Mum volunteered to make carrot soup for lunch; I made French toast (not the sweet version!) and a mixed salad for afters. Not the most health-conscious or refined meal, but we liked it just fine. (Grandma would probably roll in her grave if she knew, though...)

Sounds like a three course meal to me, I don't know what grandma would expect instead.

French toast wasn't her idea of a proper cooked meal. ;))

That probably was the rain wechad around 2 a.m. last night
It rained for about half an hour which was more than we had the last few weeks.

It is still far from enough, of course, but at least it might help a little.

Nothing wrong with french toast for dinner.

We had rain last night, maybe 3 inches. This morning most of my pasture was a lake. Now my horses are all 'brown' and the lakes have somewhat receded. lol

I think that lunch sounds healthy enough. It was mainly veg. and that's always good. Then, again, I am perhaps not the best person to judge, as I had egg and chips for dinner last night.

That must have been unpleasant. We were glad for the rain, though.

At least there was some rain, and nothing of it made it into the flat. That´s good news, indeed!

Hurrah! The air always seems so much fresher after the weather breaks and there is rain. Although I'm glad it didn't rain on your friend's furniture!

I'm glad you got some rain too! And carrot soup, salad and French toast sounds very good to me. :)
