wiseheartThe "Candy Princess" quiet book is finally finished! Yay!
Behold the front cover (sliding activity, you can move the clouds up and down):
The birthday cake page (the small square patch on the left is where the clasp is stitched on; also you can open the zipper on the cake and put thin wafers or candy into it):
Match-the-colour page with teacups (and an ungodly hard Velcro job):
The umbrella page, also serving as an abacus (alas, I couldn't get the cords taut enough, but I hope it will work nonetheless):
The castle puzzle page that gave the book the "Candy Princess" title:
The two deep sea pages. Alas, the photos are slightly blurred. I'll try to make better ones later on:
And finally the back cover:
The red and white polka dotted fabric is the binding. The clasp, which can't be seen, is red, with pale pink fastening.
I also started working on the Holy Family nativity scenes: 2 out of 10 are finished. I've decided to take it easy for the next few days, to allow my fingertips to recover. Binding the quiet book was brutal work, stitching through multiple layers of felt, double-sided tape and seaming ribbon. Ouch!
Not much else happened today. We're still trying to survive the heat. Ate leftovers and tried to lie low.
