The end of woes - for now

Until they restart on August 3. Ugh. In other news, it's still very hot over here. I made the necessary food run in the morning, then I came home and we shut all windows and let down all blinds and just vegetated in front of the telly for the rest of the day.

I still got some minor crafting done: stitched 8 of the 10 shepherds together, so there are only 2 more to go, but that was all.

We ate leftover soup and Wiener Würstchen for lunch, then we napped a bit to get over the hottest part of the day, and are definitely planning to sleep in tomorrow. Oh, the joy to be able to take a shower after 8am!

I'm glad you're getting a reprieve from construction woes, at least, even if just for two weeks. But that is when the no toilet happens, too, right? Damn...

I hear you on the heat ... I've so had it with summer. Gah!
I hope it rains tonight, otherwise I'll have to water the garden tomorrow as my parents are on holiday. *grrrr*

Showers are so necessary in such heat. I wish I had one. I have been having quick, shallow baths, instead.

Yep, that's the one. At least it will only last a day and a half, but it's gonna be awful indeed.

I've given up on baths years ago. I love them, but our bathtub is too small for lying in it comfortably, and showers are more refreshing indeed.
